It's all illusion, manipulation of emotions, sleight of hand. A game. It's stream of consciousness. It's technique. It's suspension of disbelief. There will always be different ratios of telling and showing, and any other rhetorical tools. Playing with different points of view, rhythm, and tone is a lot of fun, determining how one can paint certain pictures under various contexts of order. It should be fun. It should be challenging. It is.

with both Luna AND Bella. Ohh, we were chased by several herds of cattle and a stray dog or two, but it was a nice reminder of my days back on the savanna, running in packs with my wolf allies against the terrors of the night.
The adrenaline is very satisfying.

that 'mediocre' is better than 'best.' They delight in clipping wings because they themselves can't fly. They despise brains because they have none.

"I have led such a little life, and even that will be over pretty soon. I have allowed myself to lead this little life when inside me there's so much more. And it's all gone unused, and now it never will be. Why do we get all of this life if we don't ever use it? Why do we get all these feelings and dreams and hopes if we don't ever use them? That is how Shirley Valentine disappeared, she got lost in all this unused life..."

I just ran the "block" with Luna, after three weeks of her recovering from neglect and abandonment. She's ideal for a runner, always trotting by the side, never any tugging; a smooth, easy pace gliding like a shadow, unlike that psycho Bull Bella!!
And, as fate would have it, the two people who first pointed her out to me passed us on the road, and stopped, very impressed that I'd kept her, and at how healthy she now looked, nearly unrecognizable! Yeah, that's pretty cool. That's just how we roll!

As much as I'm grieving Snickers, and will never quite be the same, life goes on, and there are lives out there still needing saving.
Bella is a beautiful Pit Bull mix found wandering the streets of Austin last year. The couple is about to have their first child, however, and beautiful Bella is just way, WAY too much dog. Seriously.
So, I've been checking her out, and she's really great with people. No problem. She's a fantastic running partner, as we ran five miles together yesterday. She had a great pace with wonderful stamina to go along with her intense bursts of power.
Sadly, though, Bella immediately goes Code Red with other dogs. She'll need a whole lot of patience and love to survive. The stakes, of course, are that Pit Bulls can expect a death sentence at most any Shelter, especially those as neurotic, needy, and emotionally neglected as Bella. We'll see what we can do. One thing for sure, though, is that we'll run and run until we chill that crazy bitch out!!

And check out her cool Smiley Face birth mark!

But don't wanna piss off this bitch!!

and dream of fine bitches. I love you with all my heart. Always.

All the best medicines and good food in the world cannot help one achieve longevity unless one knows and practices the Tao of Yin and Yang.

For women, frequent intercourse with orgasm is the most efficient method of cultivating sexual essence and energy. For men, frequent intercourse with infrequent ejaculation is the key technique for cultivating sexual essence and energy.
The importance of the man retaining semen during sexual intercourse is emphasized over and over again in Taoist literature. The basic purpose of this method is to increase as much as possible the quantity of life-giving, age-retarding hormones secreted in a man’s body during sexual excitement, while at the same time decreasing as much as possible the loss of semen and its related hormones through ejaculation.

Rainbow Girl: It is generally assumed that a man gains great pleasure from ejaculation. But when he learns the Tao of Yin and Yang, he will ejaculate less and less. Will this not diminish his pleasure as well?
Plain Girl: Not at all! After ejaculating, a man feels tired, his ears buzz, his eyes get heavy, and he longs for sleep. He is thirsty and his limbs feel weak and stiff. By ejaculating, he enjoys a brief moment of sensation but suffers long hours of weariness as a result. This is no true pleasure!
However, if a man regulates his ejaculations to an absolute minimum and retains his semen, his body will grow strong, his mind will be clear, and his vision and hearing will improve. While the man must occasionally deny himself the fleeting sensation of ejaculation, his love for his woman will greatly increase. He will feel as if he could never get enough of her! Is that not the true and lasting pleasure of sex?

Yellow Emperor: I do not wish to make love any more.
Plain Girl: As human beings, we must not do anything that contradicts nature. Now, your majesty wishes to refrain from sexual intercourse and that is entirely against nature. When Yin and Yang are not in contact, they cannot complement and harmonize each other. We breathe in order to exchange stale old air for fresh new air. When the Jade Stem is not active, it will atrophy. That is why it must be exercised regularly. If a man can learn to control and regulate his ejaculations during sex, he may derive great benefits from this practice. The retention of semen is highly beneficial to man’s health.

Here is what a 75-year-old American woman has to say about sex in old age, as reported in the Redbook Report on Female Sexuality, published in 1975:
"I had no special sexual enjoyment until after menopause. My former husband was as virile at 77 as when we were married 30 years before. My present husband is a wonderful lover. That is the trouble with the young ones, they have not learned the art of lovemaking, which is really the best part of marriage. At 75 we are enjoying a sexual experience that young people of my generation missed out on. People seem to have the mistaken idea that one should cease to have sex because they are in their 60s or older. This is a fallacy."
As long as she keeps her health intact, sex is enjoyable as well as beneficial for a woman for as long as she lives, just as it is for a man. And the longer she remains sexually active, the better are her chances of keeping her health intact and living a long, active life. That is the Tao in a nutshell. Truly, the Tao works all ways and always - man and woman, past and present, East and West.

Call It a Good Marriage
Call it a good marriage -
For no one ever questioned
Her warmth, his masculinity,
Their interlocking views …
Though few would still subscribe
To the monogamic axiom
That strife below the hip bones
Need not estrange the heart,
Call it a good marriage …
Call it a good marriage:
They never fought in public …
Thus the hazards of their love-bed
Were none of our damned business -
Till as jury men we sat on
Two deaths by suicide.

I was halfway through my run on Friday, when two women waved me over to their yard, asking if I'd seen, or knew anything about, an abandoned dog roaming around. I said no, but went over for a look. When I saw the poor girl lying behind a trash can, she looked like a concentration camp victim, and I immediately took her with me, slowly walking the miles back home, she was so weak. She must have been thrown away with her puppies, because she was also a new mother, even in her shockingly emaciated condition. The ladies didn't offer me a ride. I never found any puppies.
I first called her Wolf, and that's how I think of her, but my sister suggested the name Luna, and I like that. It's more subtle and beautiful. I love the mysteries of the night and howling at the moon. I often howl with the coyotes, and with little Snickers - we really get beautiful harmonies.
Look who's all fresh and fancy now!!

human beings just can't accept that there is no significance to life whatsoever (aside from natural living itself), and that when you're dead, that's it, that's the ballgame - you no longer exist, and will never exist again. Period.
Now, children are fed a bunch of horseshit, just bald-faced lies, outrageous lies, with Santa and the Easter Bunny being fairly benign examples, but still lies nonetheless. So, these innocent kids, trusting in their parents, take these lies to heart, or seek to validate them throughout their lives, but they can't, because you can't validate a lie, so they inevitably become split personalities.
Just look at the world!! Stop lying, assholes!!
